Isn't it interesting how Jesus was calling the religious leaders hypocrites?

I mean they thought they had it all down but Jesus Himself was calling them out! The shoulda, coulda, woulda of religion! haha Jesus was much more liberating! Matthew 15:3 "...why do you break the command of God for the sake of your traditions..." and also in verse 7 when the prophets prophesied what still happens today. The apostles didn't even understand either cuz Jesus explains about what is unclean and he specifically talks about what hurts people and thus when love is our governor we wont do those things Jesus talks about. Are we all hypocrites in thinking that we understand but we may not? Peter ask Jesus to explain what he just said, and are we Peter in the sense that we need to re read what God is telling us and what liberties we truly have and to not be bound anymore?! I wana know what it says to you, I am curious what your thoughts are on it.
