Change his ways a bit? NO. Not going to happen. Not worth trying either. You broke up because he wasn't meeting your perfectly reasonable needs, that's not going to change. You're probably thinking that he texted you cause he wants to get back together, which may or may not be the case. Either way doesn't matter. If you do decide to respond to his text just tell him something like "Yeah, I'm doing fine. Things are good." I know you want to tell him you don't hate him but that will just encourage him to pursue you, you don't want that. Also don't bother asking him how he's doing or anything else that of course would invite more texting. Ignoring his text is also a good choice. The point is don't encourage him. You're not ready to be his "friend" or have any kind of relationship with him.
