Reincarnation in Disgaea, do you level better each time?

In Disgara, each time you do the reincarnation, you level to level 1, well say I reincarnate like 10 times, will all the previous times be carried over, so it is like killing 1 lv 20 enemy and i'll gave like 10 times the exp?
