What to do about the state of US citizens?

This is by far one of the most thought provoking and timely written questions I have ever seen in this format, unfortunately for me I cannot answer at this time because it is way past my bedtime and I have to get some sleep as I am dosing off as I type. I hope to read the answers given and hopely be able to respond myself tomorrow.
