Very awkward situation... I don't know how to respond to this person.?

Wow. Well first of all, be flattered, because he is calling you beautiful, etc. Second of all, if you don't like him that way, just let him know any be clear to him that you are not looking for a relationship at the moment, but give him friendly gestures; but keep it friendly, refrain from like bumping into him or letting him touch you in cl and stuff, because he could be getting mixed signals. Also, if he continues texting you about being depressed or wanting to run away, and he does not want to go to a counselor, then maybe you should step in and talk to the school counselor and say, "I am not sure if he wants me to be talking to you so I'm not going to say his name, but my friend has been texting me things like..'I want to run away...I am depressed...etc.' and I don't know what to do about it so can you please help me?" Or something like that... I really hope I helped! :) It sounds like you're in a tough situation.
